About

Christian Andersen has spent his life devoted to arts and technology. Establishing a deep affinity for computers at a young age he has been enthusiastic about digital audio production and design for decades.

Starting as a DJ in Toronto in the early 2000s Christian quickly rose to prominence in the Jungle/Drum nā€™ Bass scene.

In 2005 he discovered the newly burgeoning sound of Dubstep coming from the UK and quickly began contributing his own original productions to the culture. This would lead to a lengthy and successful series of music offerings under the moniker XI which would launch him on to the international stage. Christian would go on to perform all over the world and release records on many prominent labels of the time. Also during this time, he would flex his experimental music muscles with projects such as Ambalance, Crushfield and Ultragamma.

Looking to broaden his horizons, Andersen would then move to Germany where he would collaborate with Techno legend Adam Marshall to form Graze. This project which focused on high-quality art piece style record releases and a full audio/visual live performance would go on to be nominated for Best Electronic Music Album of the Year at the 2014 JUNO Awards and land them a spot on the Polaris Prize shortlist in the same year.

In his professional life he has occupied many roles such as an audio composer and engineer, performer and recording artist, branding designer, media director, game designer, programmer and technologies consultant.

Christian always strives to bring the breadth of his experiences to exciting projects and help make people's most compelling creative ideas a reality.
